Greetings, Kinnies!
This is for those of you who have never heard of plugins; have heard of plugins, but never used them; or have tried to use plugins, but could never make them work properly, if at all.
What is a plugin?
A plugin is a small program, written in Lua, that can be added to the game. The purpose of the program is to assist the player in some way. Some are fighting aids. Others are craft-oriented, music-oriented, or roleplay-oriented.
There is a website, lotrointerface.com, that is devoted to this. All that this website has is plugins, information on plugins, and discussion of plugins. There are a few announcements of game updates, which mostly have some impact on the plugins and how they affect the plugins. Below is the website address:

Go here to learn about plugins and how to install them.

In addition to the two programs mentioned in the wiki above, there is one more plugin that you will need to make your plugins run properly. The LotRO Plugin Compendium. Get it at the link below:

Oh, one other thing: Be sure to read the plugin developer's page before downloading. This will tell you what the plugin is about, how to make it work, and whether it will work on Mac, Windows, or both.
That's it. That is all you need to get started. Now, you can explore the wonderful and amazing world of plugins. Some you will find useful. Others will not interest you at all. If you have questions, please feel free to ask me. If I do not know, I shall try to find the answer, or someone who can.
Enjoy!
