The possible date for the release of Update 15 is November 5. This will have new areas (more of Gondor), a Big Battle (Pellinor Fields), and the new class (Beorning). Tested also, but not yet mentioned for release, are improvements to the Music System.
Before you become too excited about all this, be aware that this update is still very buggy. It has only had 3 builds on Bullroarer, that is, only 3 test sessions. There is still much to be fixed. If you look at the Bullroarer forum, you will see that there are a number of recent posts regarding the problems with Update 15, build 3. There are also some posts about this on lotroplayers.com, and there is considerable chat about this ingame. (The testing for this update has been Open Beta, so there are no NDAs involved. All may talk freely.)
To be perfectly fair, there have been extenuating circumstances. A brief post from Executive Producer, Aaron "Rowan" Campbell, said, "We have been hit by the flu pretty hard. Frelorn will be back soon." This was in reply to questions on Bullroarer Forum. Likely the bugs fixes have been delayed by lack of available personnel. Still, anything that buggy should have a delayed release and fixed.
Concerning improvements to the Music System, that release most definitely needs to be delayed until ALL bugs are removed. Those of you who were here last year may recall what happened to the Music System after Update 11 was released. No one, not even Turbine....most especially Turbine... wants this to happen again.
The Release Date is posted on Calendar, but be aware that the date, although stated as firm, may change.
