Here are posted links to websites that contain useful information on LotRO. Some are e-zines. Others are fansites. There are many others available, but these are some of the best. There will be updates as other sites are considered to be as useful and reliable as these.
A few words about these sites:
Massively is a subsidiary e-zine of its parent e-zine, Joystiq. Both are very good gaming e-zines, however, Massively has more and better coverage of Lotro, than Joystiq. The focus is slightly different in each e-zine. NOTE: Massively has been replaced by Engadget.

Another very good e-zine is PCGamer. It began as, and still is, a published magazine. In more recent years, it has also become an e-zine, now offering digital downloads of its magazine. It also has good coverage of LotRO.

(CSTM, a fansite, started out as A Casual Stroll to Mordor, more recently changed to Casually Strolling through MMOs. Founded and run by LotRO players Merric and Goldenstar to cover all things LotRO, the site began to demand more time than they had to give, so they changed the focus of it. Even so, a wealth of information on LotRO is contained here. Sadly, now closed.)
LotroArtists, a fansite forum for the artistic players, was founded by Floradine and friends. She is a well known hobbit lass, who is a member of the Lonely Mountain Band Kinship, and performs with one or more of that kinships bands. This site, too, carries LotRO information, albeit on the social side. Note: Due to Floradine's Real Life Work Schedule, this site is no longer updated, although the Calendar of Events is accurate.

LotroPlayers was founded to provide an outlet for those folk who needed a new forum, as theirs was being deleted. My.lotro.com had hosted some lotro bloggers, but Turbine removed it along with the wiki. CSTM was also thinking of shutting down its website, but later changed its mind. A number of those folk migrated to LotroPlayers, and more came later. Much LotRO news can be found here. Articles are written by folk from different servers, not just Landroval.

LotroPlayers Update: On October 3, 2014, LotroPlayers moved to a new website, because their host, Middle-Earth, had decided to change their focus and were no longer willing to support those articles outside that focus. Soon after, CSTM closed for good. The LotroPlayers address has been updated above.
For Landroval News, 'The Lonely Mountain Free Press' is a good source. Found in the Lotro Forums, published weekly and issued on Wednesday, it contains announcements of upcoming events, and reviews of the previous week's social activities. Short on help to cover the many Landroval activities, Aldekim is seeking personnel to assist in gathering information and writing articles about those events. If interested, please contact him. Please note that the new edition is always at the bottom of the last page of the forum thread.
